Legal Protection of Content – Copyright, Trademark, and Terms of Use

All content published on this website and on its connected digital channels (including the YouTube channel Academia Lana Praner) is the intellectual property of its founder, Lana Praner, and is fully protected under the following:

– Slovenian Copyright and Related Rights Act (ZASP),
– EU Directive 2001/29/EC (InfoSoc),
– EU Directive 2019/790 (DSM Directive),
– Berne Convention,
– WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT),
– WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT).

The following is prohibited without the author’s written permission:

– uploading or publishing video content on other websites or portals,
– embedding YouTube videos into commercial or non-commercial websites,
– copying or reproducing written content, lectures, or technical methods,
– translating any content,
– archiving or redistributing content,
– publishing content in contexts that harm the honour, reputation, or integrity of the author,
– associating copyrighted material with content containing false statements, misleading claims, defamation, slander, or any harmful insinuations.

Special Prohibition Against the Misuse of Copyrighted Works

Any use of copyrighted works in contexts that violate the honour, good name, dignity, mental integrity, or personality rights of Lana Praner is strictly prohibited. This includes defamation, false accusations, misleading representations, offensive publications, or any association with content that harms her reputation or integrity.

 

Citation and contextual use policy

 

This policy is based on the principles of copyright law, protection of moral rights of authors, protection of personality rights, the right to reputation and dignity, and the principles of fair and non-misleading representation of copyrighted materials as recognized by the legal systems of the Member States of the European Union and the European Convention on Human Rights.

The lectures, publications, videos, writings and other materials of Lana Praner and Academia Lana Praner® constitute copyrighted works and original intellectual creations.

Any use, quotation, commentary, analysis or discussion of the materials of Lana Praner shall respect the principles of accuracy, transparency, authorial integrity and contextual fairness.

  1. Accuracy of Quotations

Quotations must be accurate, verifiable and presented without modifications capable of altering their meaning.

  1. Source Attribution

Whenever a quotation is published, the source must be identified, including the title of the lecture, publication or other material from which the quotation originates.

  1. Preservation of Context

Individual excerpts must not be presented in a manner that alters their original meaning or purpose.

The omission of relevant contextual information capable of affecting the understanding of quoted material constitutes a misleading representation of that material.

  1. Separation of Quotation and Interpretation

Interpretative conclusions, opinions or value judgments must not be presented as direct statements, positions or intentions of Lana Praner.

  1. Prohibition of Misleading Reconstruction of Meaning

It is not permissible to create the impression that quoted material supports positions or conclusions that do not reasonably arise from its content.

Likewise, it is not permissible to use selective quotations, omission of context or interpretative reconstruction to create meanings that are not contained in the original material.

  1. Psychological, Sociological and Other Interpretative Attributions

Where psychological, sociological, ideological or other interpretative conclusions are drawn from quoted material, such conclusions must be clearly presented as the opinions, hypotheses or interpretations of their author and not as established facts.

  1. Respect for the Integrity of the Work

The quotation of individual excerpts does not grant the right to alter the meaning of the work as a whole, its purpose, or the presentation of the author’s views in a manner capable of creating a misleading or inaccurate impression of the content.

The purpose of this policy is to establish fair, transparent, verifiable and contextually accurate use of copyrighted materials and to protect the integrity of their original meaning against selective quotation, removal from context, misleading presentation or interpretative reconstruction.

In the event of violations of this policy, appropriate legal measures will be taken against responsible persons for the protection of the copyright, personality rights and other legally protected rights of Lana Praner.

 

Trademark

Academia Lana Praner® is a registered trademark.
Any unauthorized use of the name, mark, or visual identity is prohibited and will be subject to civil and criminal proceedings.

Enforcement of Rights

Violations will be enforced through the following mechanisms:

– DMCA takedown actions (global),
– EU Notice-and-Takedown procedures,
– civil claims for damages,
– requests for the disclosure of identity of foreign website operators,
– criminal prosecution in cases of severe or repeated violations.
